SAP is divided into three different landscape , those three landscape are

2. Quality analyst and
3. Production.

•  DEVELOPMENT : is where the the consultants do the customization as per the company's requirement.

• QUALITY : is where the core team members and other members test the customization.

• PRODUCTION : is where the live data of the company is recorded.

A request will flow from Dev->Qual->Prod and not backwards.

2. Sap basis includes a DBMS ,GUI and client server architecture.

• DBMS Stands for "DBMS, Database Management System.

System application and products(SAP) was founded by five former IBM employees in the year of 1972 who wanted to create a real-time business data system.
            Its developed for "Systems analysis and program development.
[1]  It uses the concept of modules for individual programs that can be purchased, installed, and run separately, but that all extract data from the common database like oracle, mysql, db2 etc.

[2]  SAP AG, the company that provides the enterprise resource planning solution has upgraded the package and launched it as SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 6.0 in 2005. The purpose of positioning it as ECC is to enable SAP to build and develop an environment of other products that can function upon the foundation of the central component.

SAP's ERP solution includes several modules that support key functional areas, including:

SAP means the  ERP application is an integrated  software manufactured by SAP that targets business software requirements of mid size and large organizations in all industries and Banking sectors. It allows for open communication within and between all company functions.
                       SAP is Hardware, Database and OS independent.
It can be installed on any hardware and it can work with different databases like Orale, MY SQL.
SAP also provides Industry specific software like Banking, Aviation, Oil industry, Defense etc.
